Our Visit to Mt Tomah Botanical Garden

Mt Tomah Botanical Garden, is nearly 2 hours drive from where we live. It was my sister who encouraged and gave me more interest to visit the place because they have been there few times. Despite our busy schedule at that time, we finally grabbed a chance to take a drive and had a picnic there one weekend. Even though, it was a long drive but it's worth the trip. The place was beautiful and we saw different kinds of interesting native plants and the views around are fantastic. Check out my previous posts (Scenic Sunday and Mellow Yellow Monday) for more pictures of our visit.

This is the last series of pictures of our visit to Mt Tomah Botanical Garden.
That's my daughter peering through the rock hole.
So fascinated by the big Koi in one of their fish ponds
My daughter checking out one of the native trees
This is called the Wollemi Pine.It is one of the world's oldest and rarest trees. It was discovered by a bushwalker in a national park only 200km from Sydney, Australia's biggest city. ‘Dinosaur tree’ or ‘living fossil’, the Wollemi Pine is certainly one of the greatest botanical discoveries of our time. Please click Outdoor Wednesday and My World Tuesday to see more entries.
