Looking at the Sky on Friday

While we were watching the sunset from our backyard one late afternoon, we saw this rainbow in the sky at the North side. The day was showering on and off and cloudy. Please click Looking at the Sky on Friday to see more photos.

Away for few days

I will be away for few days and I wont be able to visit you within these days. We are going away for a short holiday trip up to the North Coast of NSW. Every year we schedule a trip there to visit friends and enjoy the ambiance of the country side. We are looking forward to this holiday to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city once in while, spending quality time together with family, visit some friends and relaxing before the school days start (Jan 28).

And I would like to thank everyone for always visiting my blog, leaving comments/messages. I really appreciate it. I will return your visit as soon as I come back from the trip. Thank you all once again.
Hope you all have a nice day always. See you when we come back..

Crowdy Head Lighthouse

Crowdy Head Lighthouse is located in Harrington, Taree, North Coast of NSW.It was built in 1878 with a fixed catadioptric light of less than1,000 candelas. It is made of stone and painted white designed by James Barnet. It was originally manned by one light keeper. In 1928 the apparatus was converted to automatic acetylene operation providing 1500 candelas and the keepers withdrawn. The light was finally converted to mains electricity in June 1972. The demise of the shipping industry saw the closure of the pilot station in the 1960s.Please click here to see more photos all around the world.

My World Tuesday

The last time we took a holiday to my hometown in the Philippines was on time of our town fiesta. We celebrate our town fiesta every Dec 7 & 8 in honour of our Patron Saint, Immaculate Conception. I was lucky enough to take some photos of one of its fiesta activities which was also one of the highlight on Dec. 8. The said activity is a traditional street dancing by the school children as their offering to our Patron Saint. This has been for many years now and is one of the most awaited and most watched event of the fiesta celebration. All the schools of our town take part of the said activity and it is always a huge success every year. Please click My World Tuesday to see more photos all around the world.
