Outdoor Wednesday

These were taken during the Tulip Festival in Bowral's Corbett Garden in the Southern Highland of NSW, one of Australia's oldest and most loved Garden Festival. It is located 126 kilometres from Syndey. Over 100,000 tulips and 25,000 annuals are planted each year.
One of my most awaited Spring events and every year we don't miss to visit the place. This post is my first series of photos. The next series will be on next Outdoor Wednesday.

My World Tuesday

These were taken sometime last January 2010 when me and my little boy went out to the city. We caught a train to Central Station and from there we took a walk down to our destination. I captured a couple of shots of the Central Railway Station when we were already across the street.
The Central Railway Station (also known as Sydney Terminal) is the largest railway station in Australia. It is located on the southern end of the Sydney CBD. It services almost all of the lines on the CityRail network, and is the major terminus for interurban and interstate rail services. Central Station houses the Operations of The Rail Corporation New South Wales. (Wikipedia)
A glimpse of Belmore Park with a man feeding the doves, seagulls and other birds, located between Central Station and Chinatown .

Shadow Shot Sunday

These were taken from Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney. The shadows of the small palm trees caught my attention. I am not sure what kind of palm trees are these. I missed to check out the name tag.
And here's my little boy.

My World Tuesday

This is a continuation of My World Tuesday post last week and this time I am sharing with you one of the valve houses in Prospect Reservoir. The Valve Houses were completed in 1887 and an excellent example of Colonial Architecture. They were built of rosy bricks with stone trim and whiter painted crenellated parapets. Glenfield of Kilmarnock, Scotland supplied the valves which were installed in 1882.
