The Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum is one of our favourite places to visit every time we visit the City of Goulburn. We visit Goulburn occasionally for one of hubby's family lives there.It is about 2 hrs drive from Sydney in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Goulburn was named a city on 14 March 1863, by Royal letters patent by Queen Victoria making it the first inland city.
The War Memorial and Museum was built as a lasting tribute to the gallant men of Goulburn and District who served in the World War 11. It was opened on 1925.It is a square tower of stone conglomerate and concrete standing 20 metres high, with Rocky Hill as it's pedestal. Inside the tower is a tablet inscribed with the names of those who enlisted from the district.
The lookout gallery at the top of the Memorial gives unparallel views of Goulburn and the surround.Please click here to see more photos all around the world.

It's good to see somewhere from the air. I've driven through Goulburn but I never realised what a pretty setting it has.
