Mount Banks at 1062 metres is a basalt capped mountain which is among the highest peaks of the Blue Mountains and was named by botanist George
Cayley after his botanical benefactor Sir Joseph Banks. Mount Banks was the furthest point reach by Cagey in his 1804 expedition. Mount Banks can be
seen from most lookouts around the rim of the Grose Valley and from Sydney. Turn off Bells Line of Road down a gravel track to a picnic area where
