My World Tuesday

A brick tribute to US television talk show host Oprah Winfrey was unveiled near Eastern Creek earlier this month to welcome her to Sydney.
The 100-square-metre mural features Oprah wearing an Akubra and has a banner saying, " Oprah, welcome to Austral-ia. It was finished as she landed in Cairns. I took bricklayer John Langan and two others including his son, Peter, six days, 3936 half bricks and 4046 full bricks, to create the detail on the wall built on a steel frame.

(Austral Bricks is a manufacturer of bricks, pavers, retaining walls, facade systems and landscaping products. )

Shadow Shot Sunday

Here's my SSS. These were taken sometime last week when me and my daughter decided to take a walk to the soccer field in our area late afternoon. The picture below shows our shadows when we were about to cross the road.

I took this picture while we were at the car park of the soccer field.

Weekend Reflections

Mellow Yellow Monday

Last Saturday, my David attended a swimming birthday party of one of his friends in school. He got this cute mug from the party as the birthday giveaway. There was a small chocolate cupcake with yellow icing on top inside but I failed to take a photo before David eat it.

My World Tuesday

These were taken last Sunday. We went to Maroubra beach which is in Maroubra. Maroubra is a beach side suburb in south-eastern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located 10 kilometres south-east of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of the City of Randwick. Maroubra is part of the Eastern Suburbs region. (information is from Wikipedia.org)
