Crimson Rosella

Yesterday while we were at a gathering of my hubby's family, these Crimson Rosella parrots, also known as Mountain Lowry just came by and perched on one of the trees in the backyard. We don't get to see them where we live so it was some kind of a treat for us to see these beautiful birds.

Brighton Beach

Brighton Beach, about 20 minutes from Sydney CBD is one of our favorite spots during summer.

My World Tuesday

This was the other day when me and my kids went out for a walk in the soccer field in our area. The birds are called Australian white Ibis. They occupied almost the whole soccer field feasting probably with insects and worms.Please click My World Tuesday to see more photos all around the world.

A Night Out

Last night we took a drive around our neighboring suburbs to get to see the different Christmas light decorations. Since there is a website that features the various participants of the Christmas lights competition around Sydney and its location of where to find them , we didn't have trouble where to go, so we picked those that are convenient to visit, winners or not. I was glad that one of the winners live close to where we live so we never miss the chance to visit them, of course.

Santa's Visit

Every Christmas the NSW Rural Fire Brigade with their Santa Claus visits our neighborhood and give some lollies to the kids. My kids don't want to miss this event every Christmas. So, by the time they heard the Fire Engine Truck siren sounds, they went out to the front yard to wait patiently . I took some photos to share with you during that moment.

Late in the afternoon..

While I was watering my plants after a scorching day, I saw this cockatoo on one of the trees at the backyard. He seemed so busy eating the fruits of the tree that he didn't even notice that someone was watching him. I hurriedly grabbed my camera to take few photos of him. He was becoming aware of my presence and stopped from what he was doing and just looked at me.
